"TOMMY HAAS THE WONDER BOY AT THE FRENCH"

CLEARLY IRRITATED  MIKHAIL YOUZHNY OF RUSSIA COMPLETELY DISMANTLED HIS RACQUET 9 TIMES ON A FLOWER BOX DURING A 45 SECOND EPISODE ON THE WAY TO LOSING  6-1, 6-1, 6-3 LITERALLY MELTED BEFORE THE RAGING FRENCH CROWD.  TOMMY PLAYING PATIENTLY SAW THE FINISH LINE AS HE COOLY DISPLAYED HIS AMAZING TALENT AND SKILLS.  HE IS THE OLDEST TO REACH THE QUARTERS SINCE ANDRE AGASSI IN 2005. WITH FLAWLESS STROKES HITTING LINES AT RANDOM FROM CORNER TO CORNER LIKE A TECHNICIAN.  AT ONE POINT TAKING 9 POINTS IN A ROW PLAYING ZONE LIKE TENNIS.  ON THE FLIP SIDE MIKHAIL LOST SERVE "8" TIMES, JUST A BAD DAY OVERALL HE STATED!  AS FOR THE RACQUET HE SAID IT WAS BAD LUCK FOR THE RACQUET.

AS WE SPEAK I AM WATCHING THE DJOKOVIC VS HAAS MATCH WHERE HAAS WAS WINNING 4-2 IN THE SECOND SET TIE BREAK BUT SUCCUMBED TO NOVAK AS THEY GO TO THE 3RD SET.  NOVAK IS ENJOYING THIS AS HE IS PLAYING HIS ALL COURT STYLE OF PLAYING ADDING THE DROP SHOT TO SLOWLY WEAR DOWN HIS 35 YEAR OLD OPPONENT.  IN THEIR LAST MEETING AT THE TOMMY OUSTED THE NUMERO UNO DJOKOVIC FROM THE SONY OPEN EASILY IN STRAIGHT SETS. I SMELL REVENGE.  COMING OFF OF A 5 SETTER HIMSELF  WITH PHILLIP KOHLSCHRIEBER FROM GERMANY CONVERTED 2 OF 13 BREAKS WHICH IS UNUSUAL
FOR NOVAK BECAUSE HE RETURNS SO WELL.  HE STILL HAS A 4-3 LEAD OVER TOMMY AND WHO KNOWS WHAT CAN WAKE HAAS UP.  CALL UP HIS COACH "HIS DAUGHTER" HAS GIVEN HIM GREAT RESULTS WHY NOT TRY IT.  THEY ARE AT 2-2
AND TOMMY JUST STROKEED A BACKHAND WINNER DOWN THE LINE. THEN AGAIN ANOTHER SCORCHING BACKHAND TO TAKE A 3-2 LEAD.  THE 12TH SEED HAS HIS HANDS FULL ON THE RED CLAY BUT CAN TURN THINGS AROUND AS ON MONDAY WHERE HE RAN OFF 10 GAMES IN A ROW. EVEN AGAINST ISNER HE NEEDED 13 MATCH POINTS TO BEAT JOHN, AGAINST NOVAK IT IS HIGHLY UNLIKABLE BUT THE 1ST GERMAN IN 17 YEARS TO REACH THE QUARTERS AND THE OLDEST MAN SINCE PANCHO GONZALES WHO WAS 40 YEARS OLD.  SO NOVAK JUST BROKE TOMMY TO TAKE A SLIGHT EDGE IN THE 3RD SET.  THIS COULD BE WHERE THE FAT LADY SINGS AS NOVAK SEES THE FINISH LINE.
