FITNESS PREPARATION FOR SUMMER TENNIS

ARE YOU READY FOR THE SUMMER? I'M SURE NOT YET!  LIKE ME I'VE BEEN LAYED
UP FOR 7 WEEKS WITH A ROTATOR CUP INJURY, OUT OF THE SLING AFTER SEVEN WEEKS SITTING UPRIGHT IN MY SO COMFORTABLE LOUNGE CHAIR AND OTTOMAN.
IT FEELS SO NICE NOW TO STRETCH OUT IN MY BED FOR OVER A WEEK NOW.  AAAH IT'S BEAUTIFUL. MONTHS FROM NOW I WILL NOT REMEMBER THE AGONY AND PAIN, MEDICINE OH IT WAS MURDEROUS.  BUT SOME HAVE MADE RESOLUTIONS OF TRAINING AT THE YEARS BEGINNING AND HAVE NOT LIVED UP TO THIS LABORIOUS TASK OF JOGGING OR WALKING, GOING TO THE GYM.  WELL
WHY NOT START RIGHT AT HOME EVEN DOING PUSH UPS OR SIT UPS THAT'S SOMETHING. TENNIS IS LEGS WHICH MEANS IF YOU CAN GET TO THE BALL ALLL YOU NEED NOW IS TO HIT IT WITH A LITTLE TECHNIQUE AND SOME COACHING.THEN ON TOPS OF THAT LOTS OF BALLS. EVEN IF YOU HAVE 2,3 10
STAIRS IN THE HOUSE, NOW YOU AVE YOUR OWN STAIRMASTER, TRY GOING SIDEWAYS, THE THE OTHER WAY!  HOW ABOUT BACK PEDDALING UP THE STAIRS,
TRY 3 SETS OF EACH AND BUILD UP WITH MORE REPS EACH WEEK.

*PICK UP SOME RESISTANCE BANDS A PACK OF 3 AT WALL MART, YOU CAN DO CURLS, BY PLACING THE BAN UNDER YOUR FEET AND PULL TOWARDS YOUR WAIST.  THEN CHEST PULLS FROM SHOULDER TO SHOULDER AND OF COURSE MANY OTHERS FOR SHOULDERS, LYING DOWN FOR HAMSTRINGS ETC.

*WHILE AGAIN WATCHING TV USE YOUR DUMBBELLS THAT'S LYING AROUND, GO
AHEAD GET THEM, DO 4 SETS OF 12 REPS CURLS,  SWING WITH THEM AS YOU SWING YOUR RACQUET 40, 50 X'S FOREHAND & BACKHAND.

* MY FAVORITE JUMPING ROPE GREAT FOR QUICKNESS, CARDIOVASCULAR,HEART
RATE, TIMING.

*BRISK WALKING FOR 2,200 STEPS EQUALS 1 MILE. YEP TAKES ABOUT 15 MINUTES ONLY. ONE HOUR 4 MILES!

*SWIMMING - BREAST STROKE, SIDE STROKE, FREE STYLE YOU CALL IT!

IF YOU WATCH NOVAK DJOKOVIC NOTICE HIS FLEXIBILITY!   HE STRETCHES 2 TO 3 HOURS A DAY.  ONLY IF I COULD BE LIKE HIM!  YOU JUST HAVE TO START!  GOTTA START SOME WHERE RIGHT? IMPROVISE USE WHAT YOU HAVE AT HOME.
GET A PARTNER, GO TO THE GYM AS TENNIS IS MOVEMENT AND MOVEMENT HELPS THE HEART WHICH HELPS US FIT INTO THOSE JEANS.  WE ENJOY OUR FOOD MUCH BETTER AND WE REST BETTER IF WE EXERCISE!  SEE YOU ON THE COURT!
