FEDERER TAKES DOWN DJOKOVIC & THE SHANGHAI ROLEX MASTERS FINALS!

ROGER FEDERER STOLE THE SHOW AT THE SHANGHAI ROLEX MASTERS THIS PAST WEEKEND WITH A 6-4, 6-4 VICTORY OVER NEMISIS NOVAK DJOKOVIC.  THEIR 36TH MEETING, FEDERER PUT A STOP TO NOVAK'S 28 MATCH WIN STREAK AND PREVENTED HIM FROM 3-PEATING AS NOVAK DID TO HIM AT THE US OPEN JUST A FEW YEARS BACK.  THIS RIVALRY KEEPS GETTING BETTER AND BETTER AS ROGER'S TRANSITIONING  GAME SEEMS TO KEEP NOVAK OFF BALANCE, WITH BIG SERVES, GREAT PLACEMENT, GREAT FOOTWORK AND THE ARTISTRY OF PICASSO!
HE JUST SEEMS TO HAVE THE ANSWER. THOUGH HE LOST IN 5 AT WIMBLEDON HE HANDLES HIS LOSSES BETTER AND TAKES SOMETHING OUT OF EACH MATCH AND BUILDS ON THAT.  I LIKE THAT HE SERVES & VOLLEYS WHEN NECESSARY AND BELIEVE THAT HE CAN WIN! WHICH IS KEY FOR THE 33 YEAR OLD WITH 2 SETS OF TWINS.  HIS HANDS ARE FULL BUT YOU CAN TELL HE'S INSPIRED AS CRITICS HAVE COUNTED HIM OUT SOME TIME AGO.  AS FOR ME I SEE 2 MORE SLAMS MAYBE THREE AS HE FINDS A WAY TO WIN.  HE HAS A GREAT ATTITUDE AS HE SETS THE PACE FOR FELLOW PLAYERS NOT TO RETIRE TO EARLY AS BJORN BORG DID AT THE AGE OF 26, WAY BEFORE HE HIT A 2ND GEAR.  ROGER IS ON HIS 4TH GEAR ABOUT TO EXPLODE.  THE YEAR END FINALS IS JUST AHEAD.  HE CAN ONLY GET BETTER AND LOVES THE CHALLENGE.REACHING HIS 39TH ATP WORLD TOUR MASTERS 1000 FINALS HE IS STILL IN PURSUIT OF DJOKOVIC FOR THE WORLD NO.1 EMIRATES ATP RANKING.

GETTING READY FOR THE FINALS ROGER STATED "I'M NOT GOING TO COME INTO A MATCH AND PLAY TERRIBLE," SAID FEDERER.  "IT JUST WON'T HAPPEN - NOT IN THE FINALS, NOT AGAINST SIMON.  THAT'S THE CONFIDENCE I HAVE RIGHT NOW."

THE FINALS TESTED ROGER OUT AS OUT OF NO WHERE GILES SIMON POSTED A GREAT EFFORT IN A TIGHT DOWN THE LAST POINT 7-6(6), 7-6(2). CAPTURING HIS 4TH TITLE OF THE YEAR HE WILL RETURN TO NUMBER 2  CLOSING THE GAP ON NOVAK.  HE HAD PROBLEMS EARLIER AS SIMON BROKE HIS SERVE  AFTER RALLYING FROM 3-5 DOWN TO DRAW EVEN IN THE OPENER.  FEDERER WAS DENIED 2 SET POINTS AS SIMON TRAILED 5-6, 15/40, AS THE FRENCHMAN DUG DEEP TO FORCE A TIE-BREAK.  FEDERER HAD A 5-3 LEAD IN THE TIE-BREAK AS SIMON FOUGHT BACK IN THIS SEE SAW MATCH.  FEDERER DISPOSED SIMON WITH 2 SERVICE WINNERS & CLINCHED A 3RD SET POINT WITH A BACKHAND PASS UP THE LINE.  ERRORS SHOWED UP FOR THE FRENCHMAN IN THE 2ND SET TIE-BREAK AND THE EXPERIENCED SWISSMAN TOOK ADVANTAGE OPENING UP A 6-2 LEAD  IN THE TIE-BREAK AND GILES SUCCUMBED IN 1 HOUR AND 53 MINUTES NETTING A SHOT.  IN ROUTE TO HIS FINALS LOST SIMON TOOK OUT WAWRINKA AND BERDYCH.  ROGER EARNED 1,000 POINTS AND A CHECK FOR $798,540 FOR HIS EFFORTS.

Loved to read your blog. I would like to suggest you that traffic show most people read blogs on Mondays. So it should encourage blogger to write new write ups over the weekend primarily. Great post! Interesting information and cute writing style. Regards %%((**^^
