GETTING READY FOR SPRING AND SUMMER TENNIS "A MUST"

IN ATLANTA IT STILL REMAINS UNPREDICTABLE.  AS RAINS  CAN HAPPEN AT ANYTIME.  SO WITH LEAGUE PLAY IF I CAN PERSONALLY I SET UP MY HOME GYM WHERE I'M IN MY OWN ELEMENT WITH SOME PUSH UPS, SIT UPS, STRETCHING, AND SOME DUMB BELL ACTION.  OR I GET TO THE GYM AND WORK ON CARDIO WITH THE BIKE, TREAD MILL AND ELIPTICLE MACHINES.  ON THE WEIGHTS I DO 4 SETS OF 15 REPS ON 8 TO 10 MACHINES TOTAL FOR STRENGTHENING LEGS AND UPPER BODY.   AS FOR MY AGE 60 I CAN'T AFFORD TO GET BULKY OR TO TIGHT.  IF I CAN GET TO THE GYM 3 TIMES A WEEK GREAT!  WHEN I'M PLAYING I STRETCH MORE WITH ADDED CARIO.  THIS SEEMS TO WORK FOR ME AS I'M ON THE COURT MOST DAYS OF THE WEEK.  I DON'T WANT TO WEAR MY BODY OUT,  OF COURSE REST IS SO IMPORTANT AS YOUR BODY NEEDS TO BE REJUVENATED.  HOW BEST TO DO THIS IS TO HYDRATE YOURSELF WITH SUPPLEMENTS  DAYS BEFORE A MATCH NOT THE DAY OF OR BEFORE A MATCH.  THEY NEED TO BE IMPLEMENTED INTO YOUR BODY AS A MEANS OF REBUILDING MUSCLE AND STRENGTH.  I LOVE SMOOTHIES AND EAT LOTS OF VEGETABLES.  I DO EAT MEATS SOME LAMB, THIN SLICES OF BEEF, LOTS OF FISH TILAPIA, WHITTINGS, SWAI,  THEY ARE EASY TO PREPARE ALONG WITH SOME WILD RICE OR PASTA FROM TIME TO TIME.  KEEP IT SIMPLE IT'S GOING TO BE A HOT SUMMER.

ALSO YOUR RACQUETS GET THEM STRUNG.  KEEP AT LEAST 3 RACQUETS IN YOUR BAG.  NEVER LEAVE THEM IN THE CAR AS THE STRINGS LOSE TENSION "OVER NIGHT".  GET RECCOMENDED TENSIONS AND STRINGS FROM YOUR LOCAL TENNIS SHOP AS THEIR ARE SO MANY VARIETIES IT CAN BE CHALLENGING.  AS EVERYBODY HAS DIFFERENT FEEL, TOUCH, AND WHAT THEY NEED.  THEIR IS NO ONE ANSWER THIS IS WHY I NEVER TALK ABOUT STRINGS TO MUCH.  THE PRO'S VARY AS WELL.  "DIFFERENT STROKES FOR DIFFERENT FOLKS"!  HAVE A GREAT TENNIS SEASON.
