JELENA OSTAPENKO THE LATVIAN CINDERELLA AT THE FRENCH

THE YOUNGEST TEENAGER SINCE ANA IVANOVIC 2007 TO PLAY IN A GRAND SLAM SEMI FINAL  HAS NO FEAR.  SHE PLAYS LIKE A VETERAN, MOVES LIKE A CHEETAH AND HAS A POWER GAME. HER ASSISTANT COACH ANABEL MEDINA GARRIGUES SAYS THAT JELENA IS THE 2ND OR 3RD MOST POWERFUL PLAYER ON THE WTA. ANABEL IS TEACHING HER THE SPANISH WAY TO WORK THE POINT, BE PATIENT, "DESPACIO" SLOW DOWN! AT NINETEEN YEARS OLD SHE STEAMS INTO THE SEMI'S TAKING DOWN FORMER NUMBER ONE CAROLINE WOZNIACKI 4-6, 6-2, 6-.
SERVING AT LOVE IN THE FINAL GAME.  OSTAPENKO PLAYS VERY AGGRESSIVE TAKES THE BALL EARLY AND USES THE ANGLES LIKE A VETERAN.  AT 5'10 SHE HAS THE GAME AND EMOTIONS OF MARIA SHARAPOVA WHEN SHE BEAT SERENA WILLIAMS IN HER FIRST DEBUT AT WIMBLEDON IN 2004. I WOULD LOVE TO WORK WITH A GIRL LIKE THIS WITH THIS SPUNK.  TO BE THIS YOUNG AND TALENTED YOU MUST BE A STUDENT OF THE GAME.  HEAR ME OUT, SHE IS DANGEROUS PLAYING LIGHTS OUT TENNIS.  A CHAMPION PLAYER WITH STROKES OF MASS DESTRUCTION!
